MARÍA DE CASTRO
Based in Barcelona, María de Castro is a director and screenwriter that works internationally (Spain, Portugal, France, Mexico, Colombia). She began her career in 2015, when she founded her own commercial and content production company Meridiano Films. Her debut as director was TASTE (201 6), a short film she wrote, produced and directed, which was shown on many digital platforms such as NOWNESS, obtained a VIMEO STAFF PICK Sand was selected for CANIFF and MILANOFF, won best script at BFFF and was shown at the Flux Screening Series of Los Angeles Hammer Museum.
Since then, María has worked as a commercial director represented in different countries and for international brands such as Audi, Volkswagen, FCB, ASUS and Vueling.
At present she is developing the script of the Opportunity (selected at prestigious TORINO FILM LAB), which will be her first feature film, produced by FRIDA FILMS.
