RUSS LAMOUREUX
Russ Lamoureux hails from North Carolina and is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill. In 2000, after a notable career writing commercials (Goodby, Silverstein & Partners; TBWA/Chiat Day; BBDO; Deutsch) and a brief stint studying filmmaking at UCLA, Russ began directing. He was quickly recognized by Creativity magazine as “one to watch,” and the following year, he was featured in the Saatchi New Directors Showcase at the Cannes Advertising Festival. Since then, he has won an Emmy for PBS promos, made an award-winning short film starring Jon Heder, and collaborated with some of the world’s leading ad agencies (Wieden+Kennedy; Mother, London; BBDO; Havas) to create hundreds of memorablecommercials.
As a photographer, Russ has had his work featured in ZOOM magazine, the Leica Photography blog, group shows in Los Angeles and New York, and won an IPA/Lucie award for his documentary series on Hollywood’s Wild Card Boxing Gym.
