(Born February 22, 1960) Mexican director and producer. Simon is one of the most award-winning directors in the history of Mexican and Latin American advertising.
He has won awards all across the most important festivals in the world, including the London International Advertising Awards, FIAP (or the Ibero-American Advertising Festival), the Golden Circle, Cannes Lions, and the Golden Volcano award from the Crystal Screen Festival, among others.
He also produces and directs for television and film. Among his works are “Diario de un cocinero,” (Diary of a Chef) for which he has won an award as a producer for best TV program for Travel + Leisure magazine. As for films, he’s produced “¿Quién diablos es Juliette?” (Who the Hell is Juliette?), “Segundo Siglo” (Second Century), “Elvira Carrieré 250 metros” (Carrieré 250), and “Malos Hábitos” (Bad Habits), among others.
He is also an executive producer of numerous commercial films such as “Nosotros los Nobles” (We the Nobles) and the documentary feature “La Libertad del Diablo”, winner for Best Feature film in 2017’s Guadalajara International Film Festival and the Amnesty International Documentary Award of the Berlinale from the International Film Festival of Berlin.
He produced “The 4th Company” directed by Mitzi Vanessa Arreola and Amir Galván Cervera, most recently winning 10 Ariel Awards, including Best Film.
